Chris O Tom-Erik Løe (UR) has turned out to be quite an interesting musician, and if I don't always get into or get a feel for every project he works on, it is because there are so many and they cover so much ground. Some are truly outside of what I might normally plunge into. Take Alveland for example. I have no idea what the songs are about as they are sung in Norweigan, but I'll be damned if I don't enjoy and feel them. They are well sung, well played and I find them relaxing and fascinating. Løe has created two suites of Alveland songs here, as that is one of his fortes. The first (and my favorite) sweeps on in and bangs on out. The second is moodier, starting off rather pop but evolving into ballads. Entertaining, inventive and mysterious. I love this. Favorite track: mot soleglad, lappeteppet, småsporven, alveland, kortspel.
