the last rehearsal with this six piece edition of the band.
stress all day long, packing instruments, getting them from the rehearsal space to the concert location, while the band rigged the stage svein and tom-erik left the place in search of a little calmer place and a drink to regulate their nerves, the other members of the band were (probably) frustrated when they finally noticed they were not present at the concert location for soundcheck, 2 drinks each the guys ran to soundcheck, camler, gentler, prepared & armed, they did two or three songs at the soundcheck as a full band, then deceided it was going to be one hell of a show.
the band split again, some members home to their wives, some to their animals, some (probably) to a pub, grønnevik, løe and mr kersbergen went to the kjøtves recidence and started preparing their nerves/egos with some beach boys cover tunes, some drinks, some smokes and some good olè manly chats....you figure :)
they met up at the concert and (probably) did their best concert to date, about hundred people met up, i saw atleast 10 friendly faces in the audience (some semi-famous persons too!! no names, heheh), and at least a dozen timeless lovely girls (and boys).
BOOOOOM, concert begins, the band is at their rores and plays THE gig, drummer is sweaty and nervy, takes off his clothes (so sweaty....) bassist growls urgely and very masculine, vocalist manic and raw at times, calmer and gentler other times, guitarists sounds like magnetic airplanes, keyboard player is the steady hand of the band and never ever disturbs the flow of the music/musicians, audience cheers nervously and cool. band gets warmer and have the audience in their glorious hands. here we all achieve bliss as human beings.....the bands right hand and co-member outside rehearsal deceides to join in on backing vocals on the extra mile (their hit ??) plays the socks of the audience. big applause. the band plays their 12th and last tune for the evening, the audience screams for more, the band says sorry thats all for tonight, so i think both audience & band is happy with the outputs, while some members packs up their instruments others is being chatty and all getting good responses, after this it all blurs out for some of the members, some goes home, some party more, others deceides to join other hands and rock n roll`s further away out in the nights.....
band wishes to thank all involved for making rehearsal and concert easy for us all,
no brokes nerves, no harmful sounds, no treats, no fears, just bliss !!

conclusion :
After listening through after around seven years
i can conclude there are great performances on all three rehearsals
which is knows as "the basement tapes"
i noticed rehearsal II had some really intersting versions
so it may be this is the best one
the first we are all a little rusty and under-rehearsed
the third one we act like proffessionals, but is a little misguided
then again the 4th recording is the farewell concert
done at cementen, and most of this is absolutely fantastic....
but in these rehearsals there is some magic
not to be found on any albums, demo`s or concerts
the basement tapes produced and restored by tom-erik løe
with blessing from the founder svein olav kersbergen !
